The Secret To Uniting The Divided Church

in ROMANS 12-16: Putting Your Faith Into Action

In the days of the early church, Rome was a lot like America is today. It was a melting pot of different people with different experiences and traditions, trying to live together as one country. The newly formed body of Christ reflected this diversity and struggle as well. The Jewish Christians clashed with the Roman Gentile Christians because they represented two tribes under Christ: one that reflected Jewish traditionalism and one that rejected it.

In this lesson, Jeremy Schurke speaks directly to this division in the body of Christ and reveals how Paul’s message to the Christians in Rome could not be more relevant to us today. Join us to find out how you can unite any group of believers no matter how diverse their opinions and experiences! Want to go deeper? Gather with some other guys in person or online to watch the video and discuss the downloadable questions. We will always be stronger together.

in ROMANS 12-16: Putting Your Faith Into Action

What’s Love Got To Do With It?

in ROMANS 12-16: Putting Your Faith Into Action

Love is a word that gets used so casually. Many of us have waited for Cupid to come with an arrow and strike us with love. Others have their guard up, not able to experience what it could offer. And there are some who feel disgusted at the very word “love.”

What if we told you that in most cases, rather than wait for it or run from it, we must apply it, even when we don’t want to? Join Khayree Pender as we figure out: what’s love got to do with it? Are we willing to let love work? Invite a few guys to watch the message with you this week! We’ll always be better together.

Your Agenda, His Assignment

in ROMANS 9-11: The Beautiful Mystery of Your Salvation

Oftentimes, we struggle with our own agenda when it comes to making decisions that involve a person, place, or things. One wrong feeling or experience can tempt us to be done with it, never to approach it again. But how many great things have we discounted or missed out on as a result?

Aren’t you glad God isn’t like that? Join Khayree Pender as he explores our agendas versus God’s assignments. If you’re not already in a group, invite some other men to watch the video and discuss it together. We will always be stronger together.

What Must I Do To Be Saved?

in ROMANS 9-11: The Beautiful Mystery of Your Salvation

We know Jesus as the suffering servant, willing to lay down his life to atone for the sins of people who did not even yet exist. Living a perfectly righteous life, he sacrificed himself for us. So why are some people so angry about Jesus? Why do they resist him and his saving grace? For the same reason that many rejected Jesus in his own day.

Join Brett Clemmer as he unpacks Paul’s argument for Jesus, and look at what it takes to be saved. Hint: it has to do with your heart and your mouth. If you’re not already in a group, invite some other men to watch the video and discuss it together. We will always be stronger together.

Is There Hope for Your Loved Ones?

in ROMANS 9-11: The Beautiful Mystery of Your Salvation

It’s fascinating how we can walk around so joyful, while at the same time carry a deep sorrow in our hearts for loved ones not walking with God. Maybe they’ve never trusted Christ. Or maybe they’ve walked away. You might be inclined to think that because God is sovereign, there’s no use trying. The die is cast. But here’s some good news for you—it’s exactly the opposite. Precisely because God is sovereign, no one is beyond the reach of His compassion and mercy.

Join Patrick Morley and learn how the sovereignty of God can be your greatest comfort. Importantly, learn four pillars to invoke the mercy and compassion of God toward your loved ones. There’s no reason for you to ever give up! If you’re not already in a group, invite some other men to watch the video and discuss it together. We will always be stronger together.

The Ironic Life of Solomon

in Leadership Lessons From Kings, Uncategorized

For some men, this will be the most important message of the year. A trillionaire, Solomon had it all—power, wisdom, wealth, fame, respect, and the favor of God. Who hasn’t felt his heart leap after reading a nugget of Solomon’s wisdom in Proverbs or Ecclesiastes? There has never been anyone quite like him.

Yet Solomon didn’t follow his own advice, and therein lies a monumental learning opportunity for us. In this lesson, Patrick Morley will show you what happened to Solomon, why it happened, and how you can profit from Solomon’s mistakes. Join us for a great time! And ask a few friends who want to be successful to join you, and then discuss the questions. We will always be better together.

Why Are Some Leaders Resilient and Why Are Some Not?

in Leadership Lessons From Kings

In today’s time, most people are very critical and base their decisions on ratings and reviews. Just like a consumer review, people look for certain attributes when looking for a leader. One of the key attributes a leader should possess is resilience.

What are some of the attributes you look for when looking for a leader? Do they look like what you aspire to be, or share similar qualities?

Join Khayree Pender as we explore the leadership lesson from King Hezekiah. We will always be stronger together.

A Foolproof Guide to a Righteous Life

in Leadership Lessons From Kings

There are many persuasive leaders and teachers out there. Amazon is full of books on successful business and self-help books. You can watch hundreds of 18 minute TED talk videos to learn secrets of influence, management, psychology, and even the right way to tie a shoe. But these authors, speakers and professors can’t teach you to be a righteous man. Nor how to lead others towards righteous lives.

In part two of this new series, Brett Clemmer looks at the life of King Josiah and the amazing discovery he facilitated. Once Josiah found out about it, he was so upset he ripped his clothes in anguish. But it made him an even better King, and it changed his life and those around him permanently.

What You Won’t Learn About Leadership at Harvard

in Leadership Lessons From Kings

You can get one of the finest business educations in the world at Harvard Business School. One thing they won’t teach you, however, is how to be a humble leader who lives by faith and finishes well. Which brings us to Asa, a leader who experienced God’s favor for 35 years as king of Judah.

In the start of this new series, Patrick Morley will show you what Asa was like when God’s favor rested on him and, unfortunately, why Asa didn’t finish well. The Spirit has preserved this story as a life-altering lesson on how you can succeed in leadership and life while avoiding the error of Asa.

When it Feels Like Your Sufferings Never End

in ROMANS 5-8: Living Your Life God's Way

There’s a lot of groaning going on these days. And for good reasons. Wouldn’t it be nice if after becoming a Christian you could apply for asylum in an idyllic country where pain and suffering of every kind was abolished? Sign me up, right? But in fact, the opposite is true—and sometimes it can feel overwhelming to read Scriptures that say things like, “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22).

In this lesson Patrick Morley helps clarify why there is so much suffering, why you are caught up in it all, and how we have a hope that dwarfs whatever troubles we may have.

On Being a Son of God

in ROMANS 5-8: Living Your Life God's Way

Do you know anyone who has adopted children? It can be an amazing gift to a child whose circumstances are difficult or even untenable for a family to come along and make them a full-fledged member—last name and all. They get an identity, a past and a future, acceptance, and even an inheritance. It’s almost too good to be true.

This is what it’s like to be adopted into God the Father’s family. He gives us the right to call him ‘Daddy.’ He doesn’t just treat you like a son; He treats you as a son. How amazing is that?

Join Brett Clemmer as he shares Paul’s vision for adoption and explains what it’s like to live “in the Spirit,” as a most loved son of the most high God.

The Disciple Maker’s Goal

in ROMANS 5-8: Living Your Life God's Way

While Mark was not particularly religious, he wanted to be a good person. He tried. Repeatedly. But Mark knew he was never going to muster enough will power to keep the Ten Commandments. Then he heard, understood, and believed, “We’re saved by grace, not by keeping the law.” As a new disciple, Mark still thought becoming a good Christian was about following the rules. And he continued to fail. He asked his disciple maker, “I want to be a good Christian. What are the rules?”

If you were his disciple maker, how would you answer Mark? In this lesson Pat Morley will help you clarify your answer about the role of the law in the life of a disciple. You’ll be reminded that your goal as a disciple maker is to help men grow, not get them to obey.

How Is Your Life Going So Far?

in ROMANS 5-8: Living Your Life God's Way, Uncategorized

Do you know Christians who are disappointed with how their life has turned out so far? Are you disappointed? Many men have not yet grasped what it means to live under grace rather than law. They are still a slave to the power of sin, rather than living under the reality of grace. Although they’re believers, their life has no power or joy.

Join Brett Clemmer as he shows the power of grace in the life of the Christian man. You are not a slave to sin. You can instead be a man who has been freed by Christ. And when Christ frees a man, he is free indeed!

The Radical Nature of Grace

in ROMANS 5-8: Living Your Life God's Way

Are you concerned about someone who keeps sinning, even though they have professed faith? Or perhaps you’re wondering about yourself? Paul has strongly emphasized that we are justified (saved) by faith alone. But now he wants to make sure we don’t get the idea we can do whatever we want—or leave things we should do undone. That would be “grace abuse.”

Let Patrick Morley reduce your “grace anxiety.” You already know there’s no way you can ever pay your debt, right? But did you also know there’s no debt so big that your Father won’t pay it off? And He will do that as many times as you need. Now that’s radical! So how can we respond to such radical grace?

Two of the Three Biggest Objections to Faith

in ROMANS 5-8: Living Your Life God's Way

What Christian doesn’t want to help another person come to faith? Obviously, we all want that. But it’s a lot harder in the field than it sounds in the classroom, right? Let Patrick Morley show you how easily you can be a “super-spreader” of the life-giving grace that changes men’s lives. Tune in and learn the right way to share your faith. You will receive a powerful “next level” disciple-making idea that can dramatically change how you interact with those around you.
